AMC Airmen chosen for 'Tops in Blue'

Air Force officials selected seven Air Mobility Command Airmen for the 2004 Tops in Blue team. Winners were chosen from contestants who participated in the 2004 Air Force Worldwide Talent Contest at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

The entertainment branch of the Air Force Services Agency conducts the annual event.

Judges selected a total of 27 Airmen from about 70 who competed in the worldwide contest. They competed in four major categories: male and female vocals, instrumental and musical variety. Besides their performance on stage, contestants were judged on personal interviews and specialized auditions for their competition category.

The 2004 TIB team members from AMC are:

-- Vocalists: Airman 1st Class Michelle Duque, 92nd Comptroller Squadron, Fairchild AFB, Wash.; Senior Airman Starrlett Johnson-Derr, 436th Security Forces Squadron, Dover AFB, Del.; Staff Sgt. Kristina Robinson, 789th Communications Squadron, Andrews AFB, Md.; and Airman 1st Class David Weaver, 305th Comptroller Squadron, McGuire AFB, N.J.

-- Saxophonist: Airman 1st Class Christian Martinez, 3rd Airlift Squadron, Dover AFB

-- Staff: Master Sgt. Andrea Falcher, 89th Operational Support Squadron, Andrews AFB

-- Technician: Staff Sgt. Jonathan Haigler, 437th Civil Engineer Squadron, Charleston AFB, N.C.
