Fairchild spouses flew as part of an ongoing program designed to orient them with what it means to be an Airman. Participants wore their respective husband’s flight suits adding to the overall realness of the experience. Mellon is a 93rd ARS boom operator. Gottlieb is the wife of Capt. 11/9/2012 - FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Fairchild spouses flew in a KC-135 Stratotanker Nov. 7 in an ongoing program designed to orient them with what it means to be an Airman here.
