AMC pilot wins at Warrior Games, meets Prince Harry

First Lt. Ryan McGuire, Joint Base Lewis-McChord C-17 pilot, runs the 1,500-meter run and earns a gold medal at the 2012 Warrior Games held at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. AMC pilot wins at Warrior Games, meets Prince Harry

Master Sgt. Christopher Aguilera and 1st Lt. Ryan McGuire were the only two Air Force members out of five Department of Defense service members selected to meet Prince Harry of Wales in Washington, D.C., May 7. The prince visited the U.S. to meet injured service members, as well as, accept a humanitarian prize for his charity work with service members. (Courtesy photo)

AMC pilot wins at Warrior Games, meets Prince Harry

While boating in 2009, 1st Lt. Ryan McGuire, 4th Airlift Squadron C-17 pilot, suffered an accident that resulted in an amputation of his right leg below the knee. AMC pilot wins at Warrior Games, meets Prince Harry

First Lt. Ryan McGuire, 4th Airlift Squadron C-17 pilot from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, recently won five medals at the 2012 Warrior Games and he is also the Air Mobility Command nominee for the Department of Defense Employee/Service Member with a Disability Award. New housing website prepares Airmen for moving

The new website, www.housing.af.mil, provides dormitory information for unaccompanied Airmen while detailing housing options and support services available at Air Force installations. For example, the website gives insights into local communities, school districts, weather and other resources designed to help Airmen and their families become familiar with their new homes.
