    Ellsworth supports Charleston C-17s during hurricane

    Ellsworth was the temporary home for 11 C-17 Globemaster IIIs assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Aug. 1-4, that were evacuated in response to Hurricane Isaias.

    Charlotte ANG receives first C-17 from JB Charleston

    The first of four C-17 Globemaster IIIs was transferred from Joint Base Charleston to the Charlotte Air National Guard, N.C. April 7, 2018 as part of a congressional mandate. Through this directive Joint base Charleston will send 16 C-17s to four Air National Guard bases.
