    Guardian Angels support NASA launch

    The 58th Rescue Squadron’s Guardian Angels assigned to Nellis Air Force Base made up the three-team Space Flight Support Force distributed amongst Patrick AFB, Fla., Joint Base Charleston, S.C., and JB Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, in support of the historic launch.

    19th AW aids in AFSOC jump training

    The 19th Airlift Wing showcased Air Mobility Command capabilities to the total force at Sontay drop zone, Florida, April 27 to May 1, 2020, in order to help certify Air Force Special Operations Command Special Tactics operators.

    Kentucky Air Guard home to DoD’s only search and rescue dog

    In response to scenarios like the Haitian earthquake, Parsons spearheaded a new approach, developing the squadron’s search and rescue K-9 program. The effort, launched in 2018, is designed to increase the capabilities of disaster response teams in locating and recovering personnel through the use of specially trained canines.

  • Air Force transitions to a single combat uniform

    Air Force leaders announced the service will move to a single combat utility uniform, adopting the Operational Camouflage Pattern, or OCP, already in use by the Army and Airmen in combat zones and in certain jobs across the Air Force.

    AMC showcases joint rapid global mobility mission to civic leaders

    Air Mobility Command hosted 25 civic leaders from around the command Nov. 15 -17, 2016, for an immersion into AMC’s mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina, and to provide insight into its prominent role enabling joint mission effects globally.
