JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Six U.S. Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornets receive fuel from a KC-10 Extender assigned to the 305th Air Mobility Wing on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., June 28, 2021. The Blue Angels needed in-flight refueling during their flight home to Florida after participating in an Air Show. Stationed at Forrest Sherman Field, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, the team consists of 140 active duty Sailors and Marines. They have returned to their community outreach mission following the pandemic shutdown of COVID-19. While celebrating their 75th year in service, the Blue Angels also debuted their new jet platform, the F/A-18 Super Hornet.
