Airmen participate in joint exercise Global Response Expeditor
Air Force Maj. Gen. Rick Martin, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center commander, provides comments to airmen and soldiers during a joint mission briefing for joint exercise Global Response Expeditor on Jan. 15, 2014, at Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg, N.C. The purpose of this exercise was to prepare United States Transportation Command units, Air Mobility Command forces and elements of the XVIII Airborne Corps to respond as part of the Global Response Force and to conduct Joint Forcible Entry operations. This exercise executed Joint Forcible Entry operations in support of a combined Joint Task Force utilizing drop zones at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La. Air mobility aircraft and crews airdropped approximately 1,124 paratroopers and offloaded more than 120 short tons of cargo. (U.S. Air Force photo/Marvin Krause)
