Airlift/Tanker Association's Hall of Fame
Former Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ronald R. Fogleman gives a speech during a bust dedication, which recognized him as the 23rd inductee into the Airlift/Tanker Association's Hall of Fame Oct. 9, 2014, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Fogleman served as the Air Force Chief of Staff, U.S. Transportation Command, and Commander, Air Mobility Command, when it was a dual-hatted position. Fogleman also served as a fighter pilot, where he flew 315 combat missions and acquired more than 800 combat. His was recognized with the award of the Silver Star, two Distinguished Flying Crosses and received the Purple Heart for injuries he received while ejecting from his crippled aircraft.
