    The 375th Medical Group began administering a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine today to first responders and healthcare workers as outlined by a Department of Defense distribution plan. This plan establishes the prioritization of vaccinations for front line medical caregivers, mission essential caretakers, deploying forces, and members at the highest risk for developing a severe illness from COVID-19.

  • AMC conducts first MAJCOM-wide MDT training course

    During the five-week span, 14 Airmen from various MDTs representing the 89th, 22nd, 375th, 618th, 87th, 628th, and 60th Communications Squadrons completed a mission-tailored program specializing in cyber defense. These Airmen, representing every MDT in AMC, tailored skills ranging from network traffic analysis to cyber threat detection and mitigation.
  • JB Charleston evacuates aircraft from hurricane zone, maintains airlift capabilities

    Joint Base Charleston personnel assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing and 628th Air Base Wing began evacuation flights for 24 C-17 Globemaster III aircraft Sept. 11, 2018, in anticipation of Hurricane Florence making landfall. The aircraft and supporting personnel planned and executed flights from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina to three designated safe locations within 48 hours of notification, a move designed to sustain the wing’s airlift capability.
  • Wounded Warrior finds purpose in sharing story

    On Oct. 11, 2015, Col. Laurel Burkel was rescued from the mangled wreckage of the helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Burkel lived to tell her story, but Maj. Phyllis Pelky, Master Sgt. Greg Kuhse, and three NATO partners were lost. Recently, she shared her story of resiliency during a Wounded Warrior Care Ambassador workshop event at the 53d Wing.

The visit focused on the impact of the mobility enterprise mission and promoting the goals of the ongoing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math initiative spearheaded by Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, AMC commander, and his staff.
