Welcome to the AMC Kuwait - Cargo City Gateway

Outbound Duty Passengers

Outbound (re-deploying) duty passengers on Travel Orders are to check with their respective gateways for check-in times and processing. In most cases Air Force will be processed at Ali Al Salem AB and all other services will be processed at Camp Arifjan. 

Patriot Express passengers that are being processed at Camp Arifjan will go to the Passenger Travel office for check-in times and processing procedures.

Duty Standby & Space Available Passengers

*Note* KWI can only accept Active Duty and authorized DOD Civilians on orders for Space A travel. There is no Kuwaiti Immigration at KWI/OKKK (Cargo City). All contractor and civilian (dependent/retiree) travel must be conducted through Kuwait City International Airport (KCIA). For any other travel concerns please go to  The Electronic Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) (pentagon.mil) for updated travel guidance.

Passengers will need to check with your respective gateways for availability, check-in times and processing.

Space Available seats are often limited, therefor, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel. 

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat.

As of current the Head tax and Federal Inspection Fee to enter the United States is $40.03 and can be paid with Eagle cash card or cash. However, when paid with cash this is rounded up to the nearest dollar amount ($41.00) in favor of the U.S. Government. This is in accordance with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) policy on the non-availability of coin currency in the CENTCOM AOR.

Inbound Passengers

In most cases travel from Cargo City is pre-coordinated prior to flight arrival.

For Patriot Express Passengers Air Force passengers will travel to Ali Al Salem AB for in country processing and all other services will travel to Camp Arifjan for in country processing unless prior approval is given. For further question contact the Passenger terminal.

Base to Base Shuttle

The shuttle bus that runs between Camp Arifjan, Ali Al Salem AB and Camp Buehring daily from 0830-1800.

Exception to Policy information

All ETP's for both pick-ups and drop-offs must be submitted NLT 72 hrs prior to flight arrival/departures.

Travel to United States 

On a Patriot Express mission to the United States from Ramstein AB passengers on official orders (including dependents, contractors and DOD civilians) no longer require a Covid-19 test prior to departure, please check with connecting carriers for their requirements.

Passengers on leisure travel no longer require a negative Covid-19 test prior to departure to the United States per USTRANSCOM Guidance released on 14 June 2022.

Travel to Germany

Passengers are no longer required to show proof of vaccination, negative test, or recovery when traveling to Germany.
