INSTALLATION INFORMATION

U.S. Naval Support Activity Naples (NSA Naples), serves as the headquarters for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe; Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa; Commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet.  It encompasses three locations, hosting more than 50 separate commands and approximately 8,500 personnel:

• • the Air Terminal, located adjacent to the commercial Naples International Airport, also known as CAPODICHINO Airport (IATA:NAP, ICAO:LIRN)
  • the Support Site, located in the town of Gricignano di Aversa, which is 25km/16miles north of Naples
  • Gaeta, located approximately 90 km/56miles north-west of Naples

NSA Naples Air Terminal is a United States Navy operated AMC Passenger and Cargo Terminal. 

CUSTOMER CONVENIENCES

Terminal amenities: USO provides free WIFI, internet work stations, a library and reading area, toddler passenger play area, hospitality lounge, and a hospitality welcome service for Patriot Express flights.  There is a Dunkin Donuts café bar with food and drink service, and a Community Bank ATM that distributes US currency and Euros is located immediately outside the Air Terminal.

Pre-Booked Passengers & Space-Required Passengers

Check-in counters are open for check-in the day prior to departure for Patriot Express (PE) flights and two hours and thirty minutes prior to departure for military aircraft. Please keep in mind when checking in early, passengers will need to have ALL checked baggage, carry-on items, and pets with them. Passengers need to have all documentation (passports, orders, pet paperwork, etc.) ready and on their person at all times.

Additional Information

Baggage:  Passengers are reminded that normal checked baggage limitations are 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches, unless otherwise stated on your orders. Government regulations stipulate that passenger’s checked baggage must have the passenger’s name located on the outside of each baggage item.  Passengers may have one carry-on bag, and one personal item that fits under the seat in front of you. 

Batteries:  No loose batteries, to include those in their original packaging, are authorized in checked baggage.  Only batteries contained in devices are authorized in checked baggage.  Please be sure to place all loose and originally packaged batteries in your carry-on bag.

Payments:  We accept Cash and Credit/Debit card payment for any fees due at the passenger services counters.  Payment must be made in US currency only.

Federal regulations prohibit passengers from drinking alcohol on board aircraft unless the air carrier serves it.  Passengers who disregard this regulation can be turned over to Security Forces or local law enforcement.
