Travel to United States
On a Patriot Express mission to the United States from Ramstein AB passengers on official orders (including dependents, contractors and DOD civilians) no longer require a Covid-19 test prior to departure, please check with connecting carriers for their requirements.
Passengers on leisure travel no longer require a negative Covid-19 test prior to departure to the United States per USTRANSCOM Guidance released on 14 June 2022.
Travel to Qatar
All travelers inbound to Qatar, must receive a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of Arrival on the international leg of their trip OR recovery letter within 90 days and positive test result.
Proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test must be presented to airline personnel when a passenger boards an aircraft. Boarding will not be permitted for passengers without a negative PCR COVID-19 test result issues within 72 hours of arrival.
For your test, time zones must be taken into account. Ramstein is in Central European Time zone.
If you have had a positive viral test on a sample taken during the past 90 days, and you have met the criteria to end isolation, you may travel instead with your positive viral test results and a signed letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official that states you have been cleared for travel. The positive test result and letter together are referred to as “documentation of recovery.”

Travel to Kuwait
All travelers inbound to Kuwait, must abide by the following guidelines, please read carefully and if there are any questions feel free to call our Passenger Service Center
Vaccinated individuals’ measurements:
1. The following are considered Fully vaccinated
-Individuals who have received the 3rd and approved by the State of Kuwait COVID19 vaccine booster shot.
-Individuals who received their 2nd dose of the approved by the State of Kuwait COVID-19 vaccine not more than 9 months ago.
-Individuals who have been infected and recovered from the COVID-19 virus not more than 3 months ago.
2. Partially immunized: Individuals who have received the 2nd dose of the approved by the State of Kuwait COVID-19 vaccine over 9 months ago.
3. Unimmunized: Individuals who have not received nor completed the dose of the approved by the State of Kuwait COVID-19 vaccines.
4. This decision is effective as of Sunday 02/20/2022.
Procedures to be followed regrading travel to/from the State of Kuwait.
1. Unvaccinated people are allowed to travel
2. Fully Immunized:
-PCR test is no longer required prior to arrival.
-PCR test is no longer required upon arrival.
-Home quarantine is no longer required after arrival.
3. Partially Immunized
-PCR test is no longer required prior to arrival.
-Home quarantine for the duration of 7 days upon arrival with the possibility of ending quarantine by presenting a negative PCR test proving individual is virus free.
4. Unimmunized
-Individual must present a negative PCR test taken 72hrs prior to flight proving individual is virus free.
-Home quarantine is required for the duration of 7 days after arrival, with presenting a negative PCR test proving individual is virus free on day 7.
-Children under the age of 16yrs are exempted.
-This decision is effective as of Sunday 02/20/2022.

Travelers recovered from COVID-19 infection must receive clearance from a health care provider or public health official and maintain a copy of the clearance letter in their possession during travel. Written documentation from treating physician must indicate: date of symptoms onset, traveler has recovered, travelers personal identifiers (i.e. name, birth date, DoD ID) must match other travel documentation, must be signed and on letterhead containing name, address, and phone number of licensed healthcare provider or public health official stating passenger is cleared for travel. Must be accompanied with proof of COVID-19 positive results.

Travel to Turkey
Travelers to Turkey arriving from all our border gates, including landings at land, air, sea, railway, and military airports, must meet one of the following conditions:
- Received at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of the vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization, and that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose
- Proof of disease recovery, valid for 6 months, starting from 28 days after the first PCR positive test result.
- A PCR test report with a negative result maximum 72 hours before the entry
Children under the age of 12 will be exempted from vaccination certificate applications with a valid PCR (27 hours prior)/antigen (48 hours) test report.
Passengers arriving into Turkey may be subject to a random PCR test at their final destination in Turkey.
A completed “Traveler Entry Form” must be presented at check-in and upon arrival. The form can be obtained at http://register.health.gov.tr.

Fully vaccinated travelers are those individuals who are 14 days post-completion of COVID-19 vaccination with an FDA-authorized vaccine and meet all the CDC criteria for the specific vaccine administered. Such individuals must maintain proof of vaccination and be prepared to show said proof prior to being allowed on the aircraft.
Travel to AFRICOM (Including Niger & Djibouti)
All travelers inbound to AFRICOM, must receive a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of Departure on the international leg of their trip, recovery letter not accepted for travel.
Proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test must be presented to airline personnel when a passenger boards an aircraft. Boarding will not be permitted for passengers without a negative PCR COVID-19 test result issues within 72 hours of departure.
