In order to be processed, space-r passengers are required to bring:
A. 2 copies of orders (PCS, ERD, EAS, TDY etc.)
B. Military ID for anyone who is 14 years or older
C. Passport for dependents
D. Pet, kennel, and required documents (Health Certificate, shot records, etc.)

Welcome to Air Mobility Command's (AMC) passenger terminal at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan-- Home of the 733rd Air Mobility Squadron "En Route Pacesetters." Our passenger service agents and aircrews are dedicated professionals that take great pride in providing you the very best service.

Patriot Express Pre-Booked Passengers

For all patriot express flights, doors will open NO EARLIER THAN (NET) 6 hours prior to departure for COVID-19 document verification, Health Declaration completion and check-in. Duty passengers must be in line NO LATER THAN (NLT) **3 HOURS** prior to scheduled departure. Passengers are reminded to bring 2 copies of members travel orders for check-in process. Those passengers who arrive after the NLT time will be re-directed to the Passenger Service Counter for further re-booking information or as PCS orders instruct. Please see our 72 Hour Flight Schedule to see all report no later than times & roll call times for pre-booked passengers & space-required passengers. Please call our Passenger Service Center for any questions. 

Early Bird Check-in

Early bird check-in for patriot express flights will be conducted the day prior to departure. See flight schedule remarks for annotated times for all early bird availability. All members desiring to early bird check in are required to have 2 copies of travel Orders, ID Cards, passports, all checked baggage, pets with kennels, and carry on items. 

Pet Check-in

Pet check-in for the patriot express flights will be conducted the day of travel. Passengers are advised to read the AMC Pet brochure. While awaiting boarding all pets must remain in their kennel while in public or terminal area. Passengers are advised to have their pets leash to be able to take them outside for relief. As a caution extreme temperatures place your pet at risk. Pet transportation is not recommended when temperatures exceed 85 F or below 20 F. As a courtesy the Kadena Passenger terminal has a dedicated indoor climate controlled area for pets while awaiting boarding. If passengers have any questions please feel free to contact the Passenger terminal.

Duty Standby & Space Available Passengers

Roll calls are conducted 2 hours and 20 minutes prior to departure. Due to medical screening, it is recommended that passengers arrive approximately one or two hours prior to roll call time, in order to ensure time for processing.

Space Available seats are often limited, therefore, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel.

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat.

Passenger Terminal Amenities

Currently the Kadena Passenger Terminal is undergoing renovations and as such cannot offer certain amenities at this time. The terminal currently offers free WIFI on the main side of the building, vending machines (ACCEPTS YEN ONLY), a Family Lounge, Business Lounge and a USO Lounge. The Kadena Passenger terminal currently doesn't have a DV Lounge facility.

COVID-19 Test Requirements

COVID-19 test results must be in hardcopy or electronic format, unless otherwise specified below.

Handwritten test are NOT accepted.

NOTE: Japanese citizens must stamp out of the country at the Government of Japan Immigrations no earlier than 24 hours prior to the date of travel. Please contact the Passenger Terminal above for directions. Please see the quick link for information.

Travel to United States

As of 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.
