Chief Master Sergeant NATHAN S. GERSHON

CMSgt Nathan S. Gershon is the 618th Air Operations Center Senior Enlisted Leader, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He advises the commander on matters influencing the morale, welfare, quality of life, and professional development of over 800 Airmen. As Air Mobility Command’s hub for global operations, the 618 AOC is responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing a fleet of approximately 1,100 aircraft, executing the air mobility mission, and providing command and control of strategic airlift, air refueling, aeromedical operation, global air mobility support, and presidential and senior leader air transport in support of national interests.

Chief Gershon enlisted in the Air Force in January 1996. His experience covers a broad spectrum of the Air Force mission. He has held positions in aircraft maintenance as an AETC Instructor, a Medical Administration Technician, and a C-17 and C-130 Loadmaster. In addition to multiple aircrew and squadron-level leadership deployments, he was selected as the Senior Enlisted Manager charged with reopening Gwangju Air Base, Republic of Korea.

Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Master Sergeant Gershon was the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 41st Airlift Squadron, responsible for providing combat-ready C-130 aircrews for worldwide tactical airlift and airdrop operations…Anywhere, Anytime.
