Extra incentives still available for energy-saving ideas Published Oct. 26, 2011 By Air Mobility Command Public Affairs Air Mobility Command Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Extra incentives are still available for anyone wishing to submit ideas through Air Mobility Command's Fuels, Energy and Environment Idea Campaign, which ends Nov. 1. So far, 50 percent of AMC personnel ideas submitted through the Air Force IDEA Program this month have been related to energy savings, said Ms. Jeanine Dunn, the command's program advisor. "This year's campaign submissions have doubled in comparison to last year, most likely because we aligned it with Air Force Energy Awareness month," Dunn said. "We even have one instance this year where an individual assigned to another major command submitted an idea for our campaign, showing us that personnel all across the Air Force have a genuine interest and are committed to saving energy," she said. In addition to AMC's incentive gift, if their idea is approved by the Air Force program, an individual can receive up to $10,000 for suggestions producing tangible savings. Initiatives sought pertain to, but are not limited to, aviation and ground fuel efficiencies, facility energy conservation, renewable energy sources, water conservation measures and cultural change and related awareness campaigns. Once captured in the IDEA Program, initiatives are analyzed and evaluated. To submit an idea, check your base phone listing for the "IDEA Hotline" or contact base manpower analysts for assistance. Or you can submit an idea online by visiting the Web site https://ipds.randolph.af.mil. Submissions must clearly identify "AMC2011FEECAMPAIGN" in the tracking/control number area.
