Personnel respond to suspicous package at Scott AFB Published Aug. 31, 2011 By 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Scott AFB personnel are responding to a suspicious package at building 1650 -- the official mail center here. The building has been evacuated and three people have been transported to nearby Memorial Hospital as a result of possible chemical exposure. Another 13 people are being decontaminated on site. The education center, bowling alley, Information Tickets and Tours office, Airman Family Readiness Center are closed until further notice. First responders are on scene.
