Vintage World War II-era aircraft participated in the "Tora! Tora! Tora!" aerial demonstration by the Commemorative Air Force for the 2010 Airpower Over The Midwest Airshow on Sept. 11, 2010, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

The demonstration re-enacts the Pearl Harbor attack of Dec. 7, 1941. Tora's re-rcreation, officials said, involves many Japanese fighters and bombers and includes smoke, fire and explosions from a pyrotechnics team.

Tens of thousands of people attended the two-day airshow.
