Maintainers make historic engine removal
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Richard Baker, 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron mechanic, loosens bolts mounting a KC-135R Stratotanker F108-100 engine that will be sent to Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., to be refurbished. After 26 years of service, the engine, serial number 711107, is the last F108 engine to be refurbished. Four Airmen from the 22nd AMXS Squadron helped remove the 8,000 pound engine.
