AMC wins Air Force Organizational Excellence Award Published Jan. 26, 2010 By Air Mobility Command Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Air Mobility Command was recognized with its eighth Air Force Organizational Excellence Award Jan. 22. Air Force officials announced the 2008-2009 U.S. Air Force unit awards naming 16 units among the Air Force's best in five categories. The AFOEA recognizes the achievements and accomplishments of unnumbered U.S. Air Force organizations or activities and is presented to Air Force organizations which are entities within larger organizations that perform functions normally executed by numbered wings, groups and squadrons. Air Mobility Command, responsible for Global Air Mobility ... right effects, right place, right time ... last received this award for the period of June 1, 2004 to May 31, 2006. Personnel assigned or attached to Air Mobility Command from June 1, 2006, to May 31, 2008, are authorized to wear the award ribbon. Personnel who have had a permanent change of station or assignment, and who are entitled to share in the approved unit award, should report to their servicing force support squadrons for assistance. The Special Recognitions Branch at the Air Force Personnel Center will update the unit award database by March 1 to reflect the winning organizations and approved subordinate units.
