Photo essay: Air mobility at 2009 Scott Air Force Base Airshow

Plenty of Air Mobility Command aircraft were on display at the 2009 Scott AFB Airshow here Sept. 19 and 20.  Among them were the C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster III, C-130 Hercules, KC-10 Extender and the KC-135 Stratotanker.

Also on display was a non-flying static display of a C-141 Starlifter as well as World War II era transport aircraft.  Tens of thousands of visitors to the airshow were able to see and learn about the planes up close and learn more about the air mobility business.
