SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. --  Tens of thousands of spectators came to see the 2009 Scott Air Force Base Airshow here from Sept. 19 to 20.  Among the aircraft participating included vintage planes as well as some of the military's most current jet fighters.

This set of photos shows some of those aircraft preparing for the airshow on Sept. 18.
