19th ARG spreads holiday cheer

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --  The Toys for Team Robins program, headed by the 19th Air Refueling Group, officially ended their 2006 campaign on Dec. 21.

The success of this year's campaign was largely due to the generosity of various squadrons, private organizations, and the local community.

The program raised over $5,000 and collected nearly 800 toys for Team Robins military and civilian family members. Toys and gift cards were distributed to 221 families with over 400 children to help brighten the holiday season. Additionally, five 19 ARG members, including Col. Christopher Bence, 19 ARG commander, accompanied Santa and his helper elf to the Children's Hospital in Macon to deliver toys to 21 children who spent the holiday season in the hospital.
