AMC announces senior officer retirements, assignments Published Jan. 5, 2006 SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (AMCNS) -- Air Mobility Command officials recently announced the following senior officer retirements and assignments: Senior leader retirements: Col. Dennis M. McCarthy, chief, C-17 Program Office, 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis AFB, Calif., will retire in April. Col. Ben McCollum II, commander, 89th Maintenance Group, Andrews AFB, Md., will retire in April. Senior leader assignments: Col. Sharon K. G. Dunbar, commander, 75th Air Base Wing, Hill AFB, Utah, will become director of personnel, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, effective in February. She will replace Brig. Gen. (select) Michelle D. Johnson, who was previously announced. Col. James L. Hannon, commander, 76th Maintenance Group, Tinker AFB, Okla., will become commander, 89th Maintenance Group, Andrews AFB, effective in January. Col. Benjamin J. Hulsey, director, Operations Management, Tanker Airlift Control Center, Scott AFB, will become director, U.S. Air Force 60th Anniversary Task Force, Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, Hq. U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., effective in January. Lt. Col. Andrew M. Hockman, chief, Installations and Units Branch, Directorate of Plans and Programs, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will replace Colonel Hulsey, effective in January. Col. Anthony M. Mauer, chief, Operations Plans Division, Directorate of Operations, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will become chief, AMC Combat Capabilities Office, Scott AFB, effective in January. Col. Keith W. Moncrief, commander, 730th Air Mobility Squadron, Yokota Air Base, Japan, will become commander, 97th Mission Support Group, Altus AFB, Okla., effective in January. Lt. Col. Michael A. Polhemus, deputy commander, 305th Operations Support Squadron, McGuire AFB, N.J., will become deputy commander, 305th Operations Group, McGuire AFB, effective in January.
