AMC officials announce senior officer retirement, assignments

Air Mobility Command officials announced the following senior officer retirement and assignments:

Senior leader retirement:

Col. Herman Hicks, commander, 22nd Mission Support Group, McConnell AFB, Kan., will retire effective May 2005.

Senior leader assignments:

Col. Richard L. Wesche, student, Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Ala., will replace Colonel Hicks, effective July 2005.

Col. Brian T. Kelly, commander, 6th Operations Group, MacDill AFB, Fla., will become vice commander, Air and Space Expeditionary Force Center, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va., effective April 2005.

Lt. Col. Scott A. Brumbaugh, chief, Strategic Initiatives Division, Directorate of Strategy, Plans, Policy, and Programs, Headquarters U.S. Transportation Command, Scott AFB, will replace Colonel Kelly, effective April 2005.

Col. Scott E. Lewis, commander, 375th Operations Group, Scott AFB, will become vice commander, 3rd Wing, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, effective May 2005.

Col. Alvin M. Lowry Jr., deputy commander, 317th Airlift Group, Dyess AFB, Texas, will replace Colonel Lewis, effective May 2005.

Col. Steven F. Miller, commander, 60th Operations Group, Travis AFB, Calif., will become special assistant to the commander, 15th Expeditionary Mobility Task Force, at Travis AFB.

Col. Michael D. Cassidy, chief, Operational Programming, Directorate of Plans and Programs, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will replace Colonel Miller, effective May 2005.
