AMC announces senior officer retirements, assignments

Air Mobility Command officials announced the following senior officer retirements and assignments:

Senior officer retirements:

Lt. Gen. John R. Baker, vice commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, will retire effective in July.

Col. Jack C. Gundrum, commander, 731st Air Mobility Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic of South Korea, will retire effective in October.

Senior officer assignments:

Col. Ronald R. Newsom, director of Security Forces, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, will become deputy director for Transformation, Security Forces, and Force Protection, Hq. U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., in July.

Col. Michael J. Irwin, commander, 89th Security Forces Squadron, Andrews AFB, Md., will replace Colonel Newsom in June.

Col. Jeffrey A. Kennedy, deputy commander, 19th Air Refueling Group, Robins AFB, Ga., will become vice commander, 18th Wing, Kadena AB, Japan, in June.

Col. Harold H. Rice, student, Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Ala., will replace Colonel Kennedy in June.

Lt. Col. Henry P. Sanders, deputy commander, 62nd Operations Group, McChord AFB, Wash., will become commander, 86th Operations Group, Ramstein AB, Germany, in May.

Col. Philip G. Bradley, deputy commander, 305th Mission Support Group, McGuire AFB, N.J., will become commander, Air Mobility Battlelab, Air Mobility Warfare Center, Fort Dix, N.J., in June. He will replace Col. David S. Gillette, who was previously announced.

Col. David J. Lawton, director, International Officer Affairs, Air War College, Maxwell AFB, will become commandant, U.S. Air Force Mobility Operations School, Air Mobility Warfare Center, in June. He will replace Col. Kenneth M. Konicki, who was previously announced.

Col. Keith A. Keck, commander, 14th Mission Support Group, Columbus AFB, Miss., will become chief, Strategy, Planning and Policies Division, Directorate of Plans and Programs, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, in July. He will replace Col. Stephen J. Griffin, who was previously announced.

Col. Marc L. Pagliaro, chief, Inspections Division, Office of the Inspector General, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will replace Colonel Gundrum in June.

Col. Stanley J. Dougherty, deputy commander, 621st Air Mobility Operations Group, McGuire AFB, will replace Colonel Pagliaro in May.

Col. George Nicolas Jr., commander, 375th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Scott AFB, will become commander, 325th Medical Group, Tyndall AFB, Fla., in July.

Col. James S. Moeller, commander, 22nd Aeromedical-Dental Squadron, McConnell AFB, Kan., will replace Colonel Nicolas in July.
