AMC announces senior officer retirements, assignments

Air Mobility Command officials announced the following senior officer retirements and assignments:

Senior officer retirements:

Col. Kevin P. N. OShea, deputy commander and hospital administrator, 6th Medical Group, MacDill AFB, Fla., will retire effective in July.

Col. James P. Counsman, deputy commander, 89th Medical Group, Andrews AFB, Md., will retire effective in October.

Col. David J. Kramer, vice commander, 22nd Air Refueling Wing, McConnell AFB, Kan., will retire effective in January 2006.

Col. Paul S. Williams, chief, Operations Plans Division, Directorate of Operations, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, will retire effective in January 2006.

Col. Robert T. Ulrich, Air Force Reserve advisor to the commander, Tanker Airlift Control Center, Scott AFB, will retire effective in June.

Senior officer assignments:

Brig. Gen. (Select) Donald Lustig, assistant deputy director, International Negotiations, Multi-Lateral Affairs, J-5, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., will become vice commander, Tanker Airlift Control Center, Hq. Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB.

Col. Sid P. Banks, chief, Materiel Readiness Division, Directorate of Logistics, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will become commander, 52nd Mission Support Group, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, effective in July.

Col. Alan B. Berg, commander, 60th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Travis AFB, Calif., will become commander, 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, Al Udeid AB, Qatar, effective in July.

Col. Timothy L. Boone, squadron commander and chief, Readiness Division, Directorate of Installations and Mission Support, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will become chief, Environmental Division, Directorate of Installations and Mission Support, Hq. U.S. Air Force in Europe, Ramstein AB, Germany, effective in June.

Col. James S. Brackett, commander, 89th MSG, Andrews AFB, will become deputy director of Installations and Mission Support, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, effective in June.

Lt. Col. Linda M. Thomas, deputy commander, 89th MSG, Andrews AFB, will replace Colonel Brackett, effective in June.

Col. Rhonda L. Bridge, commander, 305th Medical Group, McGuire AFB, N.J., will replace Colonel Counsman, effective in August.

Col. Douglas E. Anderson, deputy surgeon, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va., will replace Colonel Bridge, effective in August.

Lt. Col. Jerry P. Martinez, deputy commander, 436th Operations Group, Dover AFB, Del., will replace Colonel Kramer, effective in June.

Col. Anthony M. Mauer, commander, 92nd Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild AFB, Wash., will replace Colonel Williams, effective in July.

Col. Scott M. Hanson, vice commander, 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis AFB, Calif., will replace Colonel Mauer, effective in June.

Col. Timothy M. Zadalis, U.S. Transportation Command liaison officer to U.S. Northern Command, Peterson AFB, Colo., will replace Colonel Hanson, effective in June.

Col. Irvin B. Lee, commander, 6th MSG, MacDill AFB, will become chief, Operations Division, Directorate of Civil Engineering, Hq. Air Education and Training Command, Randolph AFB, Texas, effective in July.

Lt. Col. Robert E. Moriarty, student, Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Ala., will replace Colonel Lee, effective in June.

Col. Thomas W. Grace, Jr., commander, 375th Dental Squadron, Scott AFB, will become commander, 435th DS, Ramstein AB, Germany, effective in July.

Col. James E. Blood, chief, Inspector General Medical Active Duty Division, Air Force Inspection Agency, Kirtland AFB, N.M., will replace Colonel Grace, effective in June.

Col. Ronald G. Nelson, commander, 43rd MDG, Pope AFB, N.C., will replace Colonel Blood, effective in July.

Col. Brenda R. Bullard, deputy chief, Medical Support Division, Office of the Command Surgeon, Hq. AMC, Scott AFB, will replace Colonel Nelson, effective in July.
