AMC takes three of five Air Force AT awards Published May 26, 2005 SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, ILL. -- Air Mobility Command recently captured three of five 2005 Air Force Antiterrorism awards, according to a recent Air Force message.According to the message, the AT awards program was established in 1993 to recognize antiterrorism accomplishments and to provide public recognition and praise for those who work quietly behind the scenes to combat terrorism on behalf of Department of Defense members, their families and U.S. military installations worldwide.The Air Force nominees for the 2005 DOD AT awards program are:Best AT Program-Installation: 49th Fighter Wing, Holloman AFB, N.M.Best AT Program-Operational Unit: 62nd Security Forces Squadron, McChord AFB, Wash.Outstanding AT Innovation or Action-Installation/Operational Unit: 377th Air Base Wing, Kirtland AFB, N.M.Outstanding AT Innovation or Action-Individual: Michael Owczarzak, 92nd Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild AFB, Wash.Best AT Program Manager: Master Sgt. Derek Finney, 436th Airlift Wing, Dover AFB, Del.The nominees in each category will be forwarded to the office of the secretary of defense for the DOD AT awards.
