AMC announces senior officer retirement, assignments Published July 5, 2005 Air Mobility Command officials recently announced the following senior officer retirements and assignments: Senior leader retirements: Col. Thomas J. Tegeler, currently the 60th Medical Operation Squadron, Travis AFB, Calif., commander, will retire effective in September. Col. Julia H. Townsend, currently staff oral surgeon at the 60th Dental Squadron, Travis AFB, will retire effective in September. Senior leader assignments: Col. (select) Martha A. Meeker, currently a student at the Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Ala., was previously announced to become the vice commander of the 621st Contingency Response Wing, McGuire AFB, N.J. Instead, she will become the vice commander of the 615th Contingency Response Wing, Travis AFB, effective in July. Col. Keiko L. Torgersen, currently the chief nurse executive for the 60th Medical Group, Travis AFB, will replace Colonel Tegeler, effective in August.
