Appointment Plus offers GF members electronic sign-up options Published Oct. 2, 2014 By Staff Sgt. Susan L. Davis 319th Air Force Base Public Affairs GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Grand Forks Airmen now have a central point to sign up for Grand Forks Air Force Base classes and events for self-enrichment and volunteerism through the new Appointment Plus website. The website also offers members a log to keep track of appointments in order to quantify hours more easily for documentation purposes. "One of the challenges that we used to get feedback about is that there is always so much going on at the base, but classes, activities and events were always scattered and there was no central place to go to see what was going on," said Pat Cerone, community support coordinator. "Appointment Plus is a more efficient way to offer people to electronically sign up for the things that interest them. It's also a place for folks to load their own classes that they teach, ranging from mentorship courses to dance lessons. Essentially, it's a one-stop-shop." According to Ivera Harris, Air Mobility Command community support program manager, Appointment Plus was a system used by other AMC installations, with great success. "This system allows users to see what is happening on the installation at a glance," she said. "It's a great way to standardize and streamline all the information to one place at one time. It allows for a collaborative partnership from all base agencies, and service members and their families have 24-7 access anywhere they are." To create an account, log on to https://booknow.appointment-plus.com/6brnxpvy/ and click "Create and Account." On the next screen, fill in the required fields and create a password. Once an account is created, the user then has the option to browse available classes, such as tours at the Airman & Family Readiness Center, Newcomers' Orientation, or fitness classes including a running clinic offered by the Health and Wellness Center. Full descriptions for each class are available by clicking on an item from the drop-down menu to the left of the screen. Available dates are highlighted underneath in blue. Once the user has selected a class and date, the appointment screen will appear offering a comments section, e-mail confirmations and reminders, even an option for a text message reminder. Users may also copy others on the appointment, such as supervisors. The user can then click on the "Finalize Appointment" button, prompting a confirmation screen and e-mail message. The scheduled class will then appear on the Appointment Activity screen. To cancel the appointment, the user can simply click the "Cancel" button next to the annotated appointment. The "Print All" option will bring up a spreadsheet of all past appointments.
