The 70th Medium Truck Detachment gathers for a prayer before a convoy mission, June 20, 2009, Forward Operating Base Kalsu, Iraq. McConnell’s 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle operations unit has had personnel assigned to 36 Joint Expeditionary Taskings to Arifjan, Kuwait. As a whole unit, they have moved more than 936,000 tons of cargo, accomplished 540 outside the wire missions and drove 1.4 million miles throughout treacherous Iraqi roads.
