C-17 aircrews move Afghanistan mission onward
Capt. Daniel Hewes, 817th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron Detachment 1 aircraft commander, inputs the flight plan into data systems on a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft March 22, 2013, at Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan. While most missions include at least two stops at various airfields in Afghanistan, this particular mission was one-stop flight providing onward movement for service members to and from a coalition base in southern Afghanistan.
