Fueling freedom: POL Airmen keep the mission going

Senior Airman Bryan Winterstein (right), 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuel distribution operator, and Senior Airman Marcus Holden, 379th ELRS fuel distribution operator, double pump fuel into an aircraft Oct. 23, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The pair held a friendly competition in September and combined to pump more than 3.2 million gallons of fuel. Winterstein edged out Holden by less than 12,000 gallons. Winterstein, a native of Joliet, Ill., is deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Holden, a native of Fort Valley, Ga., is deployed from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J.
