Joint Task Force-Odyssey Guard provides aeromedical evacuation of wounded Libyan freedom fighters

Tech. Sgt. Yayee Thayer (left) works with Capt. Capt. Jennifer Lewis (center) and Senior Airman Benjamin Pace at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, on Oct. 28, 2011, double checking medical supplies for a humanitarian assistance mission evacuating 26 injured freedom fighters from Tripoli, Libya. Thayer and Pace are team members from the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron based at Ramstein. The two aircraft transported 26 seriously wounded fighters to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, Mass. An additional four critical cases were transferred to Germany for immediate care.
