An Airman participating in a water survival training course is being pulled by a Zodiac inflatable boat May 2, 2011, at the Charleston Harbor (S.C.) to experience the feeling of being dragged by a parachute. The course must be taken every three years by every pilot, crew member and Airman who is on flight status in order to stay flight qualified. The course is held during the warmer spring and summer months and tests the student’s abilities to release a parachute in the water, board a life raft and come out from under a parachute.
