Airmen with the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron repair a KC-135 Stratotanker engine that was hit by a bird while in flight Feb. 8, 2011, at Grant County International Airport in Moses Lake, Wash. Earlier, the Airmen worked to remove the engine from the wing so they could perform in-depth maintenance on the part. Fairchild flying operations are scheduled to continue out of Grant County International Airport until November, which is when repairs to the runway at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., are expected to be finished.
