MWDs take a bite out of crime
Staff Sgt. William Booker, 22nd Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, patrols the base with his K-9, “Kebek,” in a K-9 unit vehicle Dec. 9, 2010, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. This modified vehicle assists certified dog handlers with transportation of their K-9 while driving. Patrolmen perform random vehicle inspections and welfare checks at dormitories and base housing. Some of the MWD section main duties include protecting McConnell resources and personnel, as well as supporting local and Department of Defense authorities.
