Biomedical equipment technicians keep clinic on track
Staff Sgt. Jimmy Sifrit, Airman 1st Class Connor Galvin and Airman 1st Class Lawrence Seay, 22nd Medical Support Squadron biomedical equipment technicians, explain the radio-frequency identification system to Airmen of the medical logistics flight Aug. 20, 2010, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The RFID is a wireless tracking system used to find the real-time location, or past location of any medical equipment. McConnell’s clinic is the first Air Force clinic to implement its own $100K RFID system, and is currently tracking more than 1,200 pieces of medical equipment.
