AF Scientists envision robotic aerial port at JBCHS

Bobby Robinson guides a group of scientists and engineers from the Air Force Research Laboratory through the 437th Aerial Port Squadron July 16, 2010. The researchers visited Joint Base Charleston's APS to look for potential improvements that could be made to increase efficiency via robotics. One of the developing ideas which they have come up with is the "robo-pallet". The pallet is designed to be self-aware of the contents its moving and to be proficient enough to move itself and to know if any of its contents have been tampered with.
