The war that changed the earth
Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) George Drury, pictured left as a Seaman Apprentice in 1945, served as a gunner?s mate aboard Navy Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel during the D-Day invasion. Mr. Drury is now 84 years old and is a retired Navy chief storekeeper who volunteers his time at the Naval Weapons Station.
