Pope staff sergeant, Lexington native, supports security forces ops for Southwest Asia wing
Staff Sgt. Matt Carden, security forces craftsman with the 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, participates in a unit exercise during operations at a non-disclosed base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 20, 2010. The 380th ESFS is in charge of protecting and providing security for billions of dollars of deployed Air Forces assets and nearly 2,000 deployed personnel. The 380th ESFS, as part of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, supports operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
