His primary duties are to implement policies, support management objectives that enable Charleston AFB to complete its mission, as well as manage training, career development, morale, fitness and mobility readiness. Since the earthquake, Sergeant Ellard stated that command post duties have increased by 50 percent, placing an extra workload on he and his Airmen. Sergeant Ellard stated that supporting the Haiti mission is very rewarding and gives him a great sense of accomplishment to see how what he is doing directly affects the mission.
