Faces around base: Airmen making a difference during Haiti relief
Shirley Poue works a busy schedule as a supervisor and telephone operator with the 628th Communications Squadron at Charleston AFB. As a base operator, her foremost duties are to guide and direct outside callers as well as those from within Charleston AFB. She also supervises six others. Since the disaster in Haiti, Mrs. Poue has been taking an dramatic increase in phone calls from the public, the media and other bases inquiring on what they can do to help with the crisis. The New York City native supports Charleston's mission every day and said it feels great to be a part of it "because we connect loved ones with military personnel all over the world."
