A C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft is loaded with 40 pallets of relief supplies Jan. 18, 2010, at Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, N.C., before taking off for a humanitarian mission to Haiti. The C-17, from Charleston Air Force Base in Charleston, S.C., conducted the first humanitarian air delivery mission over Haiti.
