Charleston aerial port supplies 116, 000 pounds of food, water to Haiti Jan. 18
Lawrence Curtis uses a control panel from the rear of a McChord C-17 on the Charleston AFB flightline Jan. 18 to close the loading ramp after the last of 16 pallets were loaded. The loading ramp of the C-17 can be positioned in the full-down position to allow vehicles to be driven onboard, or positioned halfway to loading of cargo pallets.
