Lichte, former Air Mobility Command commander, salutes a KC-135 Stratotanker passing overhead that was being flown in his honor as part of his retirement from the Air Force during the change of command ceremony on Nov. 20, 2009, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. During the ceremony, Gen. Raymond E. Johns took command of AMC from General Lichte. General Lichte retired from the Air Force with 38 years of service and is a long time KC-135 pilot.
