Airmen unload a C-17 Globemaster III from the 15th Airlift Wing at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, during a Humanitarian Assistance Rapid Response Team validation exercise Sept. 2 on Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia. The HARRT is the Air Force's new expeditionary medical capability designed to deploy within 24 hours of notice during disaster relief operations. Based at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, the 36th Contingency Response Group team can set up a fully-operational medical clinic within six hours after landing and treat 350 to 500 patients per day.
