A C-17 Globemaster lll delivers Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles, or MRAPS, to Bagram Airfield Aug.4. The MRAPS are designed to be both safe and effective for Soldiers conducting patrols, convoy security and other missions throughout Afghanistan. The C-17's mission is to perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions and can also transport litters and ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations when required.
