Off with the wings
DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- A contractor removes portions from the April 3, 2006 C-5 mishap aircraft here this week. The contractor began by stripping the interior of the plane of all waste and contaminants. They then cut the wings off the plane Jan. 24 with a set of giant mobile shears. The contractor estimated it will take 10 days to completely remove the plane. (U.S. Air Force photo/Roland Balik)
