Operation Welcome Home

Staff Sgt. Steven Stone, wife Melissa and son Gavin, 2, view an incased Carolina Panthers helmet while at the Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte N.C., as part of Operation Welcome Home, on Oct. 24. Home allowed military members from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines to tour the stadium and meet several players from the Carolina Panthers as a thank you for deploying in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Sergeant Stone received the Army Commendation Medal during his tour in Iraq after providing first aid to three military members after they were injured by a landmine. Sergeant Stone is with the 437th Civil Engineering Squadron, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Larry A. Simmons)
