Pope aircrews make history with joint deployment
Staff Sgt. Josh Martin, 2nd Airlift Squadron flight engineer, talks with Tech. Sgt. Joseph Stark, 95th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, prior to departing Pope for Ramstein Air Base, Germany Sunday. This deployment is the first time that Airmen from the 2nd AS have deployed with Airmen from the 95th AS to the European and African theaters. The joint team will be gone for 16 days to provide logistical support to already deployed forces as well as emergency support for the shuttle during the next mission tomorrow, if need be.
